Tee Ball Overview
League Age: 4yrs - 6yrs

The Bryan National Little League, Tee Ball Division, is open to kids (boys and girls) starting their baseball journey.  This division is purely instructional and not competitive.  It is designed to teach the kids the game of baseball, beginning with the fundamentals.

Kids will learn to bat, starting with a coach pitching to them. If they do not hit a ball, they will get to hit off of the tee. Scores are not kept, but we play with the same technical rules and regulations, allowing the kids to learn the sport before jumping to the competitive divisions.

Team Managers & Coaches

Parent participation is one of the keys to the success of any youth volunteer league. Coaching is a great way to enjoy time with your child while introducing the skills essential for children in this age group and developing the fundamental elements of baseball. Parents are needed as managers, coaches, sponsors, team parents, and scorekeepers. We are asking for volunteers to begin to experience the joys of providing young players with a fun and lifelong baseball experience. Please sign up as a volunteer during registration.

If you cannot help, please remember that your coach is a volunteer, and we ask that you please give them your full support.

Baseball Equipment + Uniforms

Bryan National Little League provides players with a cap and game jersey. Parents will be responsible for player pants, socks, and belts. The manager of the team will inform parents of the team jersey color and will recommend what color socks, belts, and pants to purchase. In most cases, there will be bats and helmets to share - we recommend purchasing your own if available. A baseball glove is the only piece of equipment required that will not be provided/shareable.

Gloves should be the softest and largest the player can handle. Well-broken-in leather gloves work best and will enable the child to catch and hold onto the ball better than a smaller, stiff plastic version. Rubber baseball cleats are recommended.

As mentioned above, players are permitted to bring their own batting helmets and/or bats provided that they meet Little League standards. At this level, it is recommended that players use bats that are 25 or 26 inches long and no more than 16 oz. in weight. Bats must be Little League-approved, ensuring the highest safety standards for our players. Please view the official Little League batting regulations here

Practices & Games Schedules

Practices and games generally last one hour. They will be held twice weekly, typically Monday - Saturday until games begin. Most Tee Ball games and practices will be held at Bob Bond Park - Harrison Field.

Practice and game schedules will be available and posted on the website when coaches have them ready. They will also be updated regularly should any changes occur.

Rules & Regulations

All divisions play by the rules set forth in the current version of the Little League rulebook.
